Is BoltVeil really free?
Creating an account and earning Bolts are free. Bolts turn into premium days, and premium days are what connect, so a free account without premium days can't connect. It's earned time, not an unlimited free plan. See how Bolts work.
What can I use today?
Your dashboard gives you WireGuard and OpenVPN configs for Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android and routers, which you import into the free, official WireGuard or OpenVPN app. WireGuard runs on one device at a time, and your other devices use OpenVPN. Our browser extension and Android app are coming soon.
Do you log what I do online?
No. We don't keep logs of the sites you visit or what you do while connected. We store only what we need to run your account: your account details, billing records and your config downloads (which server, and when). Details are in our No-logs Policy.
How many devices can I use?
Up to 10 devices at once on Max, and fewer on Plus and Pro. WireGuard runs on one device at a time; your other devices connect with OpenVPN on the same account. A router uses one connection and covers everything on its network.
Can I use BoltVeil for streaming?
Many people use a VPN for video when they travel. Streaming services block VPN addresses from time to time, so we don't promise that any particular service will work with BoltVeil. Try it on the free premium days you earn with Bolts before you pay.
What is firewall mode?
It's OpenVPN running over TCP on port 8080, a web port that many networks leave open, so it often works on hotel, train and guest networks that block the usual VPN ports. It is not disguised: networks that inspect traffic closely can still block it. Use it only where VPNs are allowed.
Can I pay with crypto?
Yes. Prepay 1, 3, or 12 months with crypto. A full year costs the price of 8 months, and nothing renews by itself.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel your card subscription from Billing and it won't renew. You keep premium until the end of the period you paid for. Crypto payments never renew. For refunds, see our Refund Policy.
